Warning signs
Daytime bites around ankles, buzzing at dusk on patios and near shaded foliage, and wriggling larvae in any standing water, even a bottle cap holds enough.
Why it matters
Mosquitoes are the deadliest animal on earth. In Texas they transmit West Nile virus and dog heartworm, and turn gardens unusable from spring to autumn.
How we treat it
Monthly barrier treatments on the shaded foliage where mosquitoes rest, plus larvicide in breeding sites. Most gardens see up to a 90% reduction within two visits.
Prevention checklist
Tip out standing water weekly, pots, toys, gutters
Change birdbath water twice a week
Keep grass cut and shrubs thinned
Run a fan on the patio, they are weak fliers
